Privacy policy
The Nagoya University Development Office (hereinafter referred to as the "DO") strives to not damage the trust given to us by handling any personal information of donors or those who have inquiries in accordance with the following policy.
1. Use and provision of personal information
The DO uses personal information within the range necessary to achieve any of the following purposes of use. When DO provides personal information to any outsourced company (direct mailing companies, etc.) for the purpose of communication with donors etc., it complies with the established protective measures according to Article 20 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan.
In addition, when using personal information for purposes other than ones specified below, we only do so after obtaining the consent of the person concerned in advance. However, this does not apply if required by law.
- １）Managing donations, issuing receipts, and expressing gratitude to donors
- ２）Sending requested materials or answering inquiries
- ３）Public relations and information provision regarding the Nagoya University Foundation
2. Measures for protecting personal information
The DO will take necessary and appropriate measures to prevent the leakage, loss or damage of the personal information it handles and other measures to ensure safe management of personal information.
3. Compliance with laws and regulations regarding personal information
The DO will comply with Japanese laws and regulations regarding personal information and the Tokai National Higher Education and Research System's Personal Information Protection Regulations.
4. Provision and disclosure of personal information
If any person requests disclosure of their personal information, DO will promptly disclose it.
In addition, if personal information of a person is incorrect and the person requests for correction / addition / deletion of their personal information, we will investigate and promptly respond to these requests.
In any of the above cases, if we cannot confirm that the request is made by the person themselves, we will not respond to these requests.
