Honoring Our Donors

Nagoya University expresses its gratitude to Foundation donors in many different ways, whether in the form of concerts, receptions, or various other events year round. We consider such interaction with donors to be an important asset to our University’s future.

  • Letter of Thanks

    A letter of thanks expressing our gratitude is presented to every donor.

  • List of Donors

    The names of donors and their donation amounts are included in the publication of our list of donors.
    *The names of donors who wish to remain anonymous will not be printed in the list.

Donors Who Contribute 200,000 Yen or More

Nameplate

The names of donors who have contributed 200,000 yen or more in total are engraved on nameplates and displayed at the Toyoda Auditorium.

Donors Who Contribute One Million Yen or More

  • Presentation Ceremony for Letters of Thanks

    Individuals who have donated one million yen or more in total during the previous fiscal year, as well as corporations and organizations who have donated 10 million yen or more, are presented with letters of thanks by the University President himself every year in March.

  • Donor Reception

    Donors are invited to the Nagoya University Foundation Donor Reception held every year in March. This reception includes speeches made by scholarship students, followed by a concert and a social gathering with the University President, in addition to other activities.

  • Homecoming Day

    Donors receive special invitation to attend our University's Homecoming Day, during which a wide range of events are held, including concerts and presentations by students receiving financial aid.

  • Campus Concerts

    When concerts are given by renowned musicians at the Toyoda Auditorium, special seating is prepared for donors who would like to attend.
     

  • Nagoya University Lectures

    When world leading researchers are invited to the University for lectures introducing their cutting edge research, donors also receive special invitation to attend.

Our Top Donors

Named Scholarships

Based on the intentions of our top donors, those who contribute a large sum to the university may have a scholarship named after them to commemorate the donation.
